[00:00:01] Good morning.
[00:00:03] It is sourdough bagel day here today.
[00:00:06] Real quick, I wanted to chime in on the TV stuff and everyone's kind of wondering and I saw a lot of questions on social media about it.
[00:00:14] It's not gonna be a lot to talk about right now. I think one of the bigger concerns, or at least that I heard from people, is what happens with the broadcast team.
[00:00:22] The answer? Nothing's gonna change. Listen, we're always susceptible to to getting fired or losing our jobs, but there's no anticipation that anything is going to change. It's a matter of where those games are ultimately going to be on television and they could be back on FanDuel. Sounds like there could be potentially some renegotiation. I don't know. I'm not going to speculate a ton on what's going to happen.
[00:00:43] A lot of our fans have kind of been on this and really good people that cover the team that threw out some of the possibilities. And I think all of those are possible. We know the Braves are working hard to make it happen. It's unfortunate. It's a really uneasy time and has been been recently for everybody in local television just because there have been a lot of changes. And I did mention, you know, one of the bigger concerns is everybody involved, not just who's going to be calling the games, but everybody that is involved in producing the games. We have great people behind us with the Atlanta Braves and everybody that is responsible for that. So it's an uneasy time for all of our TV people. So hopefully we get some good news. It'll take a little while, and the Braves are figuring out exactly what they're going to do. I'm not going to speculate at all. I'm just going to talk about this kind of one time and then we'll wait to see what they say. I don't ask a lot of questions. I just sit back and wait till we get word. But I don't anticipate that there would be any changes on who's actually calling the games in front of the camera. Hopefully no changes as far as what goes on behind the camera. Make sure when you're doing your bagels, you flip them about every 30 seconds, which is a little tricky because this water is super hot and what I don't want to do is burn myself, which you don't want to do is what I just did right there.
[00:02:00] 30 seconds each side, anyway, so that's it on the TV side.
[00:02:05] Dylan Lee, Arbitration it's an interesting process. I actually went to an arbitration hearing after the 1999 season, I believe it was.
[00:02:16] This is not a big deal at all. He files at 2.2 million, the Braves file at 2 million.
[00:02:21] That is not much of a gap at all. Easy math even for me to figure out a $200,000. My guess is that they probably settled beforehand. Could go to a hearing, but it seems like it would be unlikely. I've been through that arbitration process a couple different times, but actually went to a hearing and it could be a little contentious. Contentious. I don't think that'll be the case here. Especially over a little bit amount of money. Right. It was crazy what we saw with Terror Scubal Terrace. Google the difference there. $13 million is historic. And he goes in at 32 million and the tigers at 19. That is going to be a to watch. But as far as Dylan Lee goes, I don't think that as much of a big deal at all.
[00:03:00] I don't think there's any bad feelings there or anything like that. I think, I think it gets settled. It's a very, very little amount. So that's encouraging. And the Braves have always done a great job on the business side of things. So would not be concerned there. And you never know. A multi year deal is also always a possibility potentially with Dylan Lee's been excellent for this team. So they may happen. That might happen as well.
[00:03:21] We will see. Not a big deal there at all.
[00:03:25] All birds coming over today to play a little pickleball. Looking forward to that.
[00:03:30] Be a lot of fun. Birdie's awesome. And Todd Green, former big league catcher, good buddy of mine, coming over as well to play a little pickleball. It's a beautiful day. So we got a little tease. Almost like it's spring here in January in Atlanta. It looks like it's going to get cold again next week, so gonna be a fun day. Looking forward to catching up with Birdie. He's awesome. His son's gonna be here as well. And if they're smart, take advantage of these awesome everything bagels that I'm making today. I'm also working on a cinnamon raisin loaf so it has been fun. I can thank Peter Moreland for all of this that is going on. So anyway, hey, Braves fest is the 31st, I believe it is of January.
[00:04:10] I'm gonna be there and I think Brandon's gonna be there if he doesn't have basketball.
[00:04:14] We will see. So good to have. Bray says back and I hope you all will be there.
[00:04:18] I got to do it my first year when I got this job and it was super fun, super exciting and I was just excited. It was my first year on the job and Brace fans were being awesome, but it should be fun again. So it's nice that Brace fest is back, but hang in there. Don't sweat it. As far as the TV stuff goes, they will get this settled. Everything will be just fine. When and where? I don't know, but I'll probably find out around the same time you do. Alright, have a great weekend.
