#12 Braves in PIT, PNC, Game 1, Ump Struggles, AJSS, Heaney tonight.

[00:00:01] Well, if you haven't been here, it is absolutely worth the trip. We've seen a lot of Braves fans here walking around the ballpark. Brandon and I ran into quite a few so far here. A day and a half in a lot. Making up the trip here just to kind of get a peek at this beautiful ballpark here at pnc. Tough one last night for sure. The Braves have playing a lot of one run games and they've just kind of been okay seven and eight now in their one run games, three and four over their last seven. Dan Bellino did not have a good night. We Talked about him 15 missed calls yesterday day. We talked about his tendencies but he did not really stick to those tendencies. So that was a little bit difficult to watch last night. Some big ones too. That Matt Olson one for me was huge. The difference between 01 and 10 in that spot with a couple of runners on late, that was a big, big miss but nothing you could do about it. He wasn't great yesterday. AJ SmithShawan tonight. Gosh, he was so good in his last one. Obviously as we know, that was a career best start for him. He had never gone six innings and he went eight in that one. The big keys that we'll keep an eye on tonight. The fastball velocity was, the command was really good. But really interesting stuff with his split that we're going to keep an eye on here tonight. Really, really low spin rate on it, under a thousand RPMs. That's a big deal if you can do that. You know your split is usually on and his was in that game and we'll see, we'll see whether or not he can repeat that again. But a big step in the right direction for AJ Smith Chavers if he gets the Pirates tonight. Andrew Heaney's on the other side, veteran left. He's been around for a long time. He had been good early on, should be good early on but his last couple have not been good at. So hopefully that trend continues for him. [00:01:38] Much like falter, he's not very good against left handed hitters. [00:01:43] Now the Braves could not take advantage of that last night against Bailey falter, but hopefully they can take care of that tonight here against a guy like Andrew, he's got kind of that upshoot fastball, pretty good kind of sweeping slider that's got a lot of horizontal movement on it. [00:01:57] So we'll see, we'll see how it goes. But the Braves need a win. They need a serious win. We can't hide from it up here against the Pittsburgh Pirates again. You're trying to play catch up from the slow start to the season. It has got to be a win tonight and you got to win the series, the Nationals for four next week. And you want to build and get some momentum going into that one again. If you haven't been here, put it on your bucket list. It's worth a trip at least once. Absolutely beautiful. Ballpark.
